Poonch, April 17 (GNS): A person was injured in shelling at Kirni sector of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.
A police officer said that the civilian namely Mohd Saffir (19) son of Mohd Sadiq of Dhokri received splinter injuries today in the afternoon.
He said that the incident occurred when troops of Pakistan attacked Indian posts in the area.
Meanwhile, a defense spokesman in a statement said that Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms & shelling with Mortars along LoC in Qasba & Kirni sectors, District Poonch.
Indian Army retaliating befittingly, he said. (GNS)
