Slain militants were involved in killing of CRPF man and 4 year old boy in recent attack: DGP

Srinagar, June 30:(GNS) Two militants were killed in an encounter in Waghama area of Bijbhera in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district Tuesday.
Director General of Police Dilbagh Singh told GNS that two militants were killed in the operation.
DGP further said that today’s slain militants were responsible for the recent attack in which one CRPF personnel and a 4 year-old kid was killed in Bijbhera.
Pertinently, 118 militants have been killed this year so far in Valley.
Earlier According to the reports reaching GNS, a joint team of Police and Army’s 03 RR launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Waghama.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.(GNS)
