Kupwara, July 15 (GNS): To ensure containment and management of COVID-19 in the district, District Magistrate Kupwara, anshul Garg today declared Maqdam Mohallah Batergam Tehsil Kupwara, Tantray Mohalla and Mir Mohalla of Village Dahama Tehsil Villgam as Red Zones.
The DM issued strict guidelines prohibiting inward and outward movement of any persons from the red zones, he also appealed to stay indoors to help the administration break the chain of virus.
As per the order, the surrounding of Red Zone villages have been declared as buffer zones and inhabitants of these areas shall also restrict their movement and shall not allow relatives and visitors to visit their homes without the written permission of the concerned Administrator.
Tehsildar Kupwara and Tehsildar Villgam have been designated as Administrators of respective Red Zones and the concerned officers and assisting officials have been directed to act as per the guidelines. (GNS)
