Srinagar, Aug 28 (GNS): A policeman was killed in an accident near Chogul Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday.
Official sources told GNS that an accident took place this morning on Sopore-Kupwara near Petrol pump Chogal when a WaganR car (JK01P-1320) allegedly hit the motorcycle (6502/05D) driven by policeman Tahir Ahmad Bhat of Lachampora Rajwar. The policeman was injured and shifted to district hospital Handwara wherefrom he was referred to SMHS hospital Srinagar for advanced treatment, they said.
However he succumbed to the injuries there, they added. (GNS)
