Kupwara, Jan 12 (GNS): A fire broke out in District Industrial Centre Kupwara on Tuesday evening causing damage to material stocked up in the building.
Reports reaching GNS said that the fire broke out in Aluminum Unit of the Centre in Branwari area in the district.
Fire tenders assisted by locals doused off the flames, however not before the fire damaged upper portion of the unit.
In the incident material used in manufacturing of banners, signages and billboards was damaged.
When contacted, a police official confirmed the incident and said that a team has been deputed to the spot to gather available information. “The cause of mishap however wasn’t immediately ascertained”, the official added. (GNS)
