Srinagar, Feb 6 (GNS): Militants attacked a party of CRPF in Chanapora area of Srinagar on Saturday, injuring a paramilitary trooper, an official said.
He said that militants opened fire at a party of the CRPF’s 29th battalion near at Chanapora bridge at 1625 hours, injuring constable Manoj Kumar Yadav who suffered injury in his leg.
The injured constable was removed taken to a hospital while the area was cordoned off and searches were launched to nab the attackers, he said. Till the filing of this report, no arrests were made even as senior police and CRPF also visited the area and took on spot assessment. (GNS)
