Budgam, 9 Feb (GNS): A 13-year-old boy who was missing for the last five days was found dead in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday.
Official sources told GNS that the locals in the morning informed the police about the body lying at Soibugh area of the district.
Later, a police team reached the spot and recovered the body from the site, they said
The body has been identified as that of Shahid Farooq Malik (13) son of Farooq Ahmad Malik of Shahmohalla Soibugh Budgam.
The boy, they said, was missing for the last five days.
“On 5/2/2021 , Police Post Soibugh received a complaint from one Farooq Ahmad Malik that his son aged 13 years had gone out to buy grocery and has not returned home,” police said, adding, “On receiving this report, a FIR was registered and search was begun. However today morning, locals informed police that the dead body of the missing child is lying in orchards of village pymus. Police party reached the spot and took the custody of the body.” Medico- legal investigation has been started into the matter, police added. (GNS)
