NAVREEN TABASSUM BHAT
As I stepped down the lap of my mother
The flattering steps of a toddler I didn’t bother
As the time rolled by, I grew up didn’t cry
Then my mother dear, whose finger I held
Took me to a beautiful world, Kindergarten she told
I knew not the world so huge, will change me for years to come
Steadily, I started learning things
Round me I found, had developed well-built wings
Now it was no longer a prison like
A world so saccharine for values to like how affectionate
And how caring the world was, I salute them as I have a cause
Now it was no longer a prison like, a sweet beautiful world dew like
Where first I was so scarred, for me they all were prison masters
They taught me like their own child, cultivated in me the values so golden
To them I owe a lot, can’t repay them as I taught
God bless them for all they did, reared me since I was a kid
