Srinagar, Oct 9(GNS): Two police on Saturday were injured after suspected militants attacked police party in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Official sources told GNS that militants fired upon the police party at Manzgam area in the district. In this incident two policemen were injured who were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.

Soon after the attack, whole area was cordoned off to nab the militants, they said. however when this report was filed no arrest was made.

Meanwhile, police refuted news about attack on doctor’s house in high security Tulsi Bagh area of Srinagar.

A senior police officer told GNS that a “fake news is being circulated about attack on house of a doctor in Srinagar.”

“A stray bullet of yesterday’s second encounter hit house of an ENT doctor’s residence in Tulsi Bagh and car of Com/Secy Manoj Dwedi. But there was no injury to anyone, the officer added.(GNS
