PULWAMA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr Basharat Qayoom who is also District Election Officer (DEO) Monday convened a crucial meeting to strategize and plan for the upcoming general elections for Lok Sabha in the district.

During the meeting, various aspects related to the smooth conduct of the elections were discussed comprehensively. This included assessing logistical requirements, ensuring security arrangements and outlining voter education initiatives through SVEEP. The collaborative effort aimed to streamline the election process and uphold the integrity of the democratic exercise.

The DC directed AROs to get microanalysis done for each Polling station location to respective ACs keeping into consideration the Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) and route plan.

He emphasized the importance of effective coordination among all stakeholders to ensure a fair, transparent, and inclusive electoral process. He urged all participants to actively contribute to the preparations.

As the nation gears up for the Lok Sabha elections, such proactive measures underscore meticulous planning and coordination for smooth conduct of elections.

The meeting was attended by the Senior Superintendents of Police (SSP) Pulwama, and Awantipora, as well as Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs).
