Lok Sabha Elections: DEO Kupwara Mandates 3-Day Prior Permission To Hold Political Rallies/Meetings in District

Srinagar, Mar 23 (GNS): District Electoral Officer Kupwara has mandated for a three-day prior permission to hold political rallies/meetings in the district with regard to upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“All the Political parties intending to hold Political Rallies /Meetings in District Kupwara are hereby informed to apply for the permissions at least three days in advance of the proposed event date to enable us to facilitate proper coordination, ensure public safety and minimize any potential disruptions,” reads a circular, a copy of which lies with GNS.

“Moreover, the applications must invariably be moved only through the Suvidha App/ Portal designated for the purpose by the Election Commission of India.”

“We appreciate cooperation in the matter and look forward to your continued commitment to uphold the principles of peaceful assembly and responsible conduct in public spaces,” the circular reads further. (GNS)
