February 02: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, police have arrested a drug peddler in Sopore and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police team led by SHO PS Panzalla during naka checking at Nadihal Crossing intercepted a suspicious individual. During search, 25 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Fazil Rashid Mir son of Abdul Rashid Mir resident of Nadihal Rafiabad. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 05/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Panzalla and further investigation has been initiated.
Police encourage the public to share any information related to narcotics or other crimes with the nearest police station or by dialling 112. Police urge the community to cooperate in the fight against drugs and assure that strict action will be taken against criminals as per the law.
