Kupwara, 12 Feb 2025 : Continuing its fight against the drug menace, Kupwara Police apprehended two drug peddlers and seized contraband substances during a surprise Naka checking at FCI Bumhama on the evening of 11th February 2025, at around 9:00 PM.
A police party from Police Post Drugmulla found two individuals moving suspiciously and, upon searching them, recovered 1200 grams of charas powder-like substance and 20 grams of charas-like substance from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Ganie, S/O Khazir Mohammad Ganie R/O Khumriyal and Hakim Din Khatana S/O Taj Din Khatana, R/O Gagal Katiyawali
In this regard, FIR No. 43/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kupwara, and further investigation is underway.
