Jammu, Apr 3 : Police have arrested three individuals, including an advocate identified as the mastermind, in connection with the sensational daylight robbery at a jeweler’s shop in Greater Kailash, Jammu, on February 1.
Addressing a press conference, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh, announced that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) had successfully cracked the case through focused and professional efforts, leading to the identification and arrest of the culprits behind the meticulously planned crime.
“The main conspirator, Advocate Rahul Sharma, son of Shashi Sharma and resident of Lower Kanal near Grameen Bank, Bishnah, has been arrested along with two accomplices, Sunil Sharma and Tushar Kumar, who executed the robbery on the ground,” SSP Singh stated.
During preliminary questioning, the accused revealed that their crime was inspired by a similar gold heist in Delhi’s Samaypur Badli in 2023. The police continue to investigate further links and possible recoveries.(KINS)
