CEO Rajouri Issues Ultimatum to Non-Joining Teachers, Warns of Action

Rajouri, Dec 20 : The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri has issued a circular directing teachers transferred under ATD-2025 and those detailed to staff-deficient schools to immediately join their new places of posting.

According to the circular as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, several teachers have failed to report for duty, adversely affecting the academic interests of students due to disruption in teaching. To address the issue, the CEO has granted a final opportunity of three days from the issuance of the circular for all such teachers to join their respective schools.

The CEO warned that failure to comply within the stipulated time will invite action under Article 226 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Regulations (CSRs), and cases will be forwarded to higher authorities for further action as per rules.

The circular stated that the directions have been issued in the interest of ensuring continuity in academics and avoiding disruption of education in the district. (KNC)
