April 05: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking, J&K Police in Pulwama have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police team from Police Station Pulwama at a checkpoint established at Circular Road near Gangoo Crossing, intercepted a suspicious individual. During his personal search, charas Chora-like substance weighing approximately 392 grams, concealed in a polythene bag, was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Vikas Ahmad Lone son of Mohd Yousuf Lone, resident of Puchal.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 48/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pulwama, and investigation has been initiated.
J&K Police reaffirmed their commitment to curbing drug menace and appealed to the public to share information to help build a drug-free society.
