Police seize 14 vehicles involved in illegal mining in Anantnag

April 13: Continuing its sustained drive against illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police in Anantnag have seized fourteen vehicles during the intervening night of April 12/13.

A police team from Police Post Dialgam, at a checkpoint established at Larkipora Bridge, seized 14 vehicles involved in illegal mining activities. The seized vehicles include 08 tippers and 06 tractors, which were found transporting minerals without valid authorization.

Regarding the incident, cases have been registered at Police Station Anantnag and investigation has been initiated.

J&K Police reiterates its commitment to take strict action against individuals involved in illegal mining and urges the public to cooperate in maintaining law and order.
