May 06: In its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking and substance abuse, J&K Police in Anantnag has detained two drug peddlers under preventive detention in Srigufwara.
The detained individuals have been identified as Mohd Ashraf Chopan son of Abdul Ahad resident of Paidan Sallar and Bilal Ahmad Rather son of Ali Mohammad resident of Nowshera Srigufwara. Acting on the orders of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class Srigufwara, both individuals were detained by Police Station Srigufwara and subsequently lodged at Subsidiary Jail Khreibal, Anantnag.
Police remains committed to taking firm legal action against individuals involved in drug peddling and urges the public to cooperate in the collective fight against the menace of drugs.
