June 28: As part of the comprehensive security preparedness for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY-2026), Police in Anantnag conducted a mock drill simulating a grenade attack scenario at Grend Aishmuqam.

The drill involved a simulated grenade attack, followed by immediate area sanitization, evacuation of civilians, casualty management, traffic regulation, cordoning of the affected area, and search operations.
Personnel from Police, CRPF, SDRF, Fire & Emergency Services, Health Department, and other allied agencies actively participated in the exercise, demonstrating seamless inter-agency coordination and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Police remains committed to ensuring a safe, secure, and peaceful environment for all pilgrims and members of the public during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
