Doda, May 17 : A 20-year-old youth was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the Malwas area of Doda district on Sunday, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the deceased has been identified as Mohd Haris, son of Rayazaullah Haq, a resident of Malwas Tehsil in Doda district.
They said locals found the youth lying unconscious under suspicious circumstances and immediately shifted him to Government Medical College (GMC) Doda for treatment.
However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead upon arrival, officials said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and further investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death. (JKNS)
