Awantipora 10 June 2026: Continuing its efforts against drug peddlers under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Awantipora Police today attached a double storied residential house worth approximately ₹1.20 crore belonging to a notorious drug peddler, Manzoor Mir @ Mann Tiger, resident of Kadlabal Pampore, under the provisions of Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.

The property was identified as illegally acquired during an enquiry conducted by Police Station Pampore under the supervision of senior officers. The investigation revealed that the property had been acquired through proceeds generated from the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

The accused is involved in multiple FIRs related to drug trafficking and narcotics offences. The attached property was found to be a result of his involvement in the illegal drug trade.

This action reflects the firm commitment of Awantipora Police to eradicate the drug menace and dismantle the financial networks of drug traffickers. By targeting assets created through proceeds of crime, Police aim to deter individuals involved in narcotics trafficking and strengthen efforts towards a drug free society.

The local populace has widely appreciated the initiative of Awantipora Police, terming it a significant step under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan to curb drug trafficking and safeguard the youth from the harmful effects of narcotic substances.
