SHOPIAN: All properties and assets belonging to M/s Siraj-ul-Uloom Welfare Foundation have been placed under the control of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Chandigarh Bench.

According to the details the control of the properties was given to NCLT, following proceedings initiated under Company Petition No. 41/Chd/J&K of 2026.

A public notice issued by the Official Liquidator attached to the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, reads that the entire property and effects of the foundation now stand vested with the Hon’ble Tribunal. The notice makes it clear that any unauthorized interference, occupation, encroachment, transfer, or tampering with the assets of the foundation will amount to a violation of the Tribunal’s orders and may attract legal action under the relevant provisions of law.

The Official Liquidator, acting as the Provisional Liquidator in the matter, has cautioned members of the public against entering, occupying, or claiming rights over any property belonging to the foundation without proper authorization. The notice further states that any individuals found trespassing or unlawfully interfering with the assets will face prosecution in accordance with applicable laws.

The move comes as part of the liquidation proceedings being overseen by the NCLT, which is empowered to administer and protect the assets of entities undergoing insolvency or winding-up processes. During such proceedings, the Official Liquidator is responsible for safeguarding the assets, preventing unauthorized transactions, and ensuring that the interests of creditors and other stakeholders are protected.

Authorities have urged the general public to strictly adhere to the directions contained in the notice and refrain from any activity that could be construed as encroachment or unauthorized use of the foundation’s properties. Any disputes or claims relating to the assets are required to be pursued through the legal process before the competent authorities.

The public notice has been issued by order of the Provisional Liquidator/Official Liquidator, reaffirming that the properties of the Siraj-ul-Uloom Welfare Foundation remain under the jurisdiction and protection of the National Company Law Tribunal until further orders—(KNO)
