July 10: As part of its sustained efforts to maintain peace, strengthen the security grid, and prevent activities inimical to public order, Police in Baramulla conducted searches at the residential houses of 23 JKNOPs, their family residences, other associated structures, and the houses of close associates within the jurisdiction of Police Station Kunzer.
The searches were undertaken to ascertain any recent developments, identify possible communication with handlers from across the border, gather evidence relevant to ongoing investigations, and assess any activities that may pose a threat to the security of the area.
During the operation, a few electronic devices, including mobile phones, were seized for technical examination and forensic analysis.The searches were conducted strictly in accordance with the provisions of law and in the presence of Executive Magistrates and independent witnesses, ensuring transparency and adherence to due legal procedure.
