Baramulla, July 15(GNS): Baramulla Police on Tuesday carried out search operations at the residential houses of Jammu & Kashmir residents living in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), their family residences, and other associated premises in Bagna Bijhama village of Uri sub-division.
In a handout to GNS, the police said that the searches were conducted as part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace, public order and security in the district. The operation was carried out in accordance with due legal procedure and in a professional manner, with all legal safeguards observed.
No incriminating material was recovered during the searches, police said.
“These operations are part of our sustained efforts to prevent unlawful activities and ensure a secure environment for the public,” a police spokesperson said, adding that the cooperation extended by local residents during the operation was appreciated.
Baramulla Police said it remains committed to upholding the rule of law and will continue to take lawful and proactive measures to preserve peace and safeguard security in the district, reads the statement. (GNS)
