Srinagar, Sep 3 (GNS): A 60-year-old man from Srinagar drowned to death while fishing in Jhelum River in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.
Officials told GNS that Farooq Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Aziz Dar resident of Banpura Batmaloo Srinagar had gone for fishing in Jhelum at Khasiteng Zirpara Bijbehara when he drowned.
His body was later recovered from the river by Police with the help of locals and shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident.(GNS)
