Kathua, Sep 08: A CRPF head constable died after he suddenly fell unconscious at a college in the Maroli area of Lakhanpur in Kathua district on Saturday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the constable fell unconscious at the college premises, following which he was immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua for treatment.
He said doctors at the hospital later declared him dead on arrival. The deceased was identified as Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Sikar, Rajasthan.
Police have initiated necessary proceedings in the matter.—(KNO)
