According to reports, the boy slipped into the stream near Kaloosa Bridge while trying to retrieve a ball and was swept away by the strong current.

Following the incident, teams of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a search operation to trace the boy. SDRF teams from Bandipora and Battalion Headquarters Srinagar are continuing the search and rescue efforts.
