Doda, Sep 20: The body of a woman was found in the Karara area of Doda district on Sunday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the body was spotted by locals, who then informed the police.
The official said that soon after receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and took the body into custody. “The body has been shifted to the hospital for medico-legal formalities, while efforts are being made to ascertain its identity,” the official said.
Police have initiated proceedings, while the circumstances surrounding her death are being verified, the official said
