Srinagar, Feb 3 (GNS): Air traffic to and fro Kashmir Valley was affected with several flights rescheduled on Wednesday amid light snowfall and poor visibility at Srinagar ‘international’ airport, officials said.
They said that the flight operation was resumed soon after the runaway was cleared and visibility improved at the airport, officials told GNS.
Airport authorities said that snow, mist and fog reduced visibility on the ground and in the air, leading to the rescheduling of the several flights during the morning. “Snow and ice reduce braking action on runway which created hindrance in flight operation early morning,” they said, adding, “Snow clearance machines and all team of (airport) put efforts to resume flight operation.” GNS)
