Anantnag, Mar 18 : The District Administration Anantnag has established a District Level Control Room to monitor action against hoarding and black-marketing of petroleum products, including Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), and essential commodities across the district.
The move has been taken in pursuance of Government Order No. 19-JK (FCS&CA) of 2026 dated March 16, 2026, a copy of which lies with news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, aimed at ensuring proper supply, distribution, and consumer compliance, along with monitoring the status of e-KYC of LPG consumers.
According to an order issued by the Additional District Magistrate Anantnag, the Control Room will function round the clock to maintain regular communication and coordination for monitoring availability, distribution, and supply chain management of essential commodities.
A team of officials has been constituted for the Control Room, including Malik Muzaffar Ahmad (Assistant Director Food), Reyaz Ahmad Bhat (I/C Supplies), Tawseef Yousuf (SDRF Constable), Rouf Ahmad (SDRF Constable), and Rayees Ahmad Wani (FM).
The Control Room will ensure centralized monitoring, collection and compilation of data, submission of reports to the Divisional Level Control Room, and dissemination of directions received from the State Control Room.
Meanwhile, the administration has also set up a dedicated helpline (01932227112) for citizens to seek information regarding availability of LPG, petroleum products, and other essential commodities, besides registering grievances for prompt redressal. (KNC)
