Srinagar, Apr 6 : An army personnel who was injured after an accidental discharge from his service rifle at an Army camp in north Kashmir’s Handwara has succumbed to his injuries, officals said.
Official sources told news agency Kashmur News Corner — KNC that the soldier, identified as Jaideep (24), sustained a bullet injury after his service rifle went off accidentally at Army camp in Langate area.
He said the injured was initially taken to GMC Handwara and later referred to 92 Base Hospital Badami Bagh Cantonment for advanced treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated. (KNC)
