Srinagar, July 18th: A Delhi court on Saturday ordered the release on bail of Kashmiri human rights defender Khurram Parvez and journalist Irfan Mehraj in a case registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The bail was granted by the Principal and Sessions Judge at Patiala House Courts after hearing the applications filed by the two accused. The detailed order, including the court’s reasoning and bail conditions, is yet to be made public.

Parvez and Mehraj have been in judicial custody in connection with an NIA investigation. The court’s decision marks a notable development in the ongoing proceedings, with their release subject to compliance with the bail conditions.
