Uri, Nov 16 (GNS): Army on Monday detonated Two unexploded shells in Kamalkote areas of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
There was heavy exchange of gunfire and Shells between the armies of India and Pakistan last Friday in Kamalkote and Hajipeer sectors of Uri, leaving five civilians and two soldiers dead.
A shell was found unexploded in residential house near Sageer Hussain Shah son of Nangh Ali Shah at Kamalkote and other shell was lying on field in Jabdi village. The shells were defused by Army’s Bomb disposal squared ( BDS).
A police officer confirmed to GNS that the two live shell were detonated in the area.He said a police team was also on these spots.
According to reports several live shells are lying in Hajipeer and Kamalkote sectors after last Friday’s incident. (GNS)
