District admin to provide additional Rs 6 lakh each to next of kin
Srinagar, Aug 1 (GNS):Chief Minister has strongly condemned the killing of two labourers in Kulgam and expressed profound grief over the loss of innocent lives.
Describing the incident as “dastardly”, the CM conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and said the government stands firmly with them during this difficult time, as per GNS.
The Chief Minister announced an ex-gratia relief of ₹10 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the next of kin of the deceased.
This will be in addition to immediate assistance of ₹6 lakh each to be provided by the District Administration.
The government has reiterated its commitment to ensure support to the affected families and to maintain peace and security in the region.(GNS)
