New Delhi, Jan 20 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the national capital and held discussions on various matters concerning the Union Territory.
While official details of the meeting were not disclosed, the Chief Minister’s Office confirmed the interaction through a post on X, stating that Omar Abdullah met the Union Home Minister to discuss issues related to Jammu and Kashmir.
The interaction also comes amid reports of Kashmiri shawl sellers allegedly being harassed in different parts of the country, an issue that has drawn concern in the Valley.
Notably, the budget session of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly is scheduled to begin in February. The Union Home Ministry, which serves as the nodal ministry for Union Territories, plays a crucial role in fund allocation and administrative coordination. (KNC)
