DC Kupwara conducts surprise visit of SDH Kupwara, review healthcare facilities

KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today conducted a surprise visit to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara to review healthcare facilities being provided to the patients.

The DC inspected various wards including Causality Medicine ward, Labour room, General surgery (Post Operative) Ward, Operation Theatre, Pediatrics Department, SNCU (Special newborn Care Unit), Ayushman Bharat Section, Free Drug dispensary, Jan Aushadhi counter and other sections.

Ayushi interacted with Hospital administration, doctors, paramedics and patients and received feedback regarding the facilities and effectiveness of operations.

She inspected various aspects such as overall cleanliness, medical facilities, presence of staff and the quality of healthcare services provided.

The surprise visit of the DC aimed to ensure that the hospital is meeting the required standards and regulations for providing healthcare services to the community. The DC expressed pleasure with the facilities and patient care provided by the hospital administration and staff.

On the occasion, the patients and attendants said that they were satisfied with the medical facilities being provided at SDH Kupwara particularly cleanliness, Discipline, staff availability and round the clock surgeries.

She underscored the role of doctors and paramedics to ensure a much healthier society and asked the hospital administration to keep up with their good work.
