NEW DELHI, June 6: Delhi Police has granted a one-time permission to the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), a youth-led online movement, to hold a protest at Jantar Mantar in the national capital on Saturday. The demonstration is scheduled to begin at 10 AM and is expected to draw participants from different parts of the country.

The protest is being organized to highlight concerns over alleged irregularities in competitive and school examinations, with participants demanding greater transparency and accountability in the education system. Organisers have also called for reforms aimed at safeguarding the interests of students and job aspirants.

Security arrangements have been intensified across Delhi ahead of the gathering. Police personnel have been deployed at key locations, including Jantar Mantar, airport terminals, and major entry points into the city to maintain law and order during the event.

The movement, led by founder Abhijeet Dipke, has gained significant attention on social media in recent weeks. Dipke is expected to participate in the protest after arriving in India from the United States.

Traffic advisories have also been issued for central Delhi, with authorities warning of possible congestion and diversions around Jantar Mantar and adjoining areas due to the anticipated turnout.

Commuters have been advised to use public transport and plan their journeys accordingly.

The protest marks the first major on-ground mobilisation by the Cockroach Janata Party, which emerged as an online campaign advocating for education reforms, employment opportunities, and greater accountability in public institutions. (KNC)
