New Delhi, Dec 23: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the premature repatriation of Sadanand Vasant Date, IPS (MH:1990), Director General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), to his parent cadre with immediate effect.
As per news agency JKNS, the decision was taken on a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Home Affairs and has been conveyed through an official order issued by the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
The order, dated December 22, 2025, states that the competent authority has accorded approval for Shri Date’s repatriation, which will come into force forthwith.
Shri Sadanand Date, a 1990-batch IPS officer of the Maharashtra cadre, was heading the National Investigation Agency prior to his repatriation. (JKNS)
