Srinagar: In a bid aimed at improving healthcare delivery and optimizing resource allocation, the Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK) Saturday ordered the transfer and posting of 31 doctors across various healthcare institutions in the region.
Among the medical officers and consultants transferred include those from specialties including gynecology, ENT, surgery, medicine, pediatrics, anesthesiology, cardiology, urology, and plastic surgery.
The doctors been transferred with immediate effect include; Dr. Ashiq Hussain (Medical Officer, Surgery) – Transferred from DH Pulwama to SDH Chadoora; Dr. Irfan-ul-Shamas (Consultant, ENT) – DH Pulwama to DH Kulgam; Dr. Muhammad Asif (Medical Officer, MBBS) – DH Pulwama to EH Qazi Gund; Dr. Anjum Tahseen Jan (Consultant, MCh Urology) – DH Pulwama to SDH Bijbehara; Dr. Shakeel Ahmed (WC Consultant, Gynae) – DH Pulwama to EH Qazi Gund; Dr. Muhammad Ayub Bhat (Consultant, Surgery) – DH Pulwama to CHC Keller; Dr. Gulzar Kuchay (Medical Officer, MD Medicine) – DH Pulwama to EH Qazi Gund; Dr. Sameena Gani (Medical Officer, Surgery) – DH Pulwama to PHC Dadsar.

The DHSK emphasized the urgency of compliance, directing that all concerned doctors “shall be deemed relieved” and must join their new places of posting forthwith.
