A senior police officer told GNS that the man, around 56 years of age, was killed along the LoC near Dulanja Uri. He said that as per preliminary reports, the slain has been identified as Sarfraz Mir Son of Sain Mir of Kundibarjala Kamalkote. Born in 1960s, the man had crossed the LoC in early 1990 and then returned in 1992, the officer said. He had then surrendered in 1995 and went back to Pak in 2005.  Also, an ID card issued by authorities in Muzafarabad along with a weapon has been recovered, he said. The body was later handed over by army to police and the elderly was buried in a graveyard meant for militants near the TV tower, which is near the army brigade headquarters. Locals and some relative of slain were present for the burial rites.  (GNS)
