Srinagar, Mar 27 (GNS): A fire mishap dealt extensive damage to a residential house in Panar area in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district. Reports reaching GNS said that a double-storey residential house belonging to one Altaf Hussain Chechi and Irshad Ahmad Chechi, sons of Mian Chechi, in Panar Bandipora caught fire this evening. Soon after the incident, F&ES reached the site with men and machinery to douse the flames and after hectic efforts managed to control the fire. Confirming the incident, a Fire and Emergency Services official told GNS that they reached the site on time, however the massive blaze dealt extensive damage to the structure and also slightly damaged a cowshed.
