Srinagar, Jan 28 (GNS): Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Thursday constituted a High Level Committee of three judges to monitor the pace, progress and implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) for Development of Infrastructure for Judiciary.

“The Chief Justice has been pleased to constitute a High Level Committee comprising Justices Dhiraj Singh Thakur, Sindhu Sharma and Puneet Gupta to monitor the pace, progress and implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) including monitoring adherence to the timelines in respect of the projects under CSS for Development of Infrastructure for Judiciary,” reads an order issued by Registrar General Jawad Ahmad, a copy of which lies with GNS.  

The committee has been also asked to look into the operationaiization and functioning of the Gram Nyayalayas (village courts) for speedy and easy access to justice system in the rural areas notified within the jurisdictional limit of the High Court with a view to “make this institution a robust and credible pillar of justice delivery system.”  (GNS)
