Poonch, July 19 (GNS): Three bodies have been brought to the hospital in Surankote for postmortem following flash floods triggered by heavy rain.
“Three dead have reached the hospital for postmortem,” BMO Surankote Dr Mohd Yousaf Choudhary told GNS.
Official sources said that many casualties are feared in the Surankote area, however official confirmation is awaited.
Police, civil administration and locals are on the spot. Rescue and shifting operations are underway while a search for the missing is also being carried out.
Locals said this is the first such major flood in Surankote since 1992. (GNS)
