ITC SETS UP 150 CR FOR COVID RELIEF

Srinagar, April 20: The ITC LIMITED has set up Rs 150 crore COVID-19 contingency fund for vulnerable sections of society.

As per a statement, this fund will be used to provide relief to most vulnerable section of the society, provide assistance to rural healthcare and even provide protective gear for medical staff.

“This fund will be utilised primarily to provide relief to the vulnerable and most needy sections of society who have been harshly impacted by the pandemic and have faced significant disruption in their livelihoods,” the statement said.

The conglomerate in its commitment to support the government efforts and play its part in fighting the pandemic COVID-19 with compassion and resilience has joined hands with JK Police by distributing essential commodities (Juices and Soaps) for relief to IGP Kashmir Zone Mr Vijay Kumar, the statement added.

ITC limited officials handed over juices and soaps stock to Jammu and Kashmir Police department at District Police Line, Srinagar in presence of SSP Srinagar Dr. Mohd. Haseeb Mughal DYSP DAR  Srinagar Mr Feroz Ahmad  Qadri.
