J&K Police attaches residential properties of drug peddlers in Kulgam

May 30: As part of its continued crackdown on narcotics-related activities, J&K Police in Kulgam have attached a residential house of market value of ₹50,00000/- belonging to Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir S/O Mohd Maqbool Mir R/O Kujjar Frisal, Yaripora. The property was identified as having been acquired through proceeds generated from the illegal trade of drugs and narcotics. Accordingly, the said property has been attached in connection with FIR No. 10/2021 of Police Station Yaripora.

Moreover, another single storey residential house of market value 52 lakh belonging to Feroze Ahmad Khan son of Ghulam Ahmad Khan resident of Munnad Tehsil Yaripora was attached as the property was acquired through proceeds generated from the illegal trade of drugs and narcotics. Accordingly, the said property has been attached in connection with FIR No. 72/2023 of Police station Behibagh.

The attachment proceedings have been carried under the provisions of section 68-F of NDPS act through the competent authority SAFEMA and were carried out in presence of duly constituted police team, Executive Magistrate ensuring full compliance with all legal procedures and maintaining transparency.

Police reiterates its firm commitment to eradicating the menace of drugs by targeting both offenders and the financial assets generated through illicit activities. The general public is urged to come forward with any information regarding drug trafficking or related activities.
