February 11: In furtherance of efforts to ensure strict compliance with regulations governing the sale of medicines, J&K Police, in coordination with the Drug Inspector and Health Department, conducted a joint inspection drive of medical shops at Pattan in the presence of a Magistrate.
During the inspection drive, chemist shops operating around Trauma Hospital, Pattan were checked. A total of 18 establishments were inspected. CCTV installations at these shops were examined and found functional. Records pertaining to NRx medicines, including Pregabalin, were verified and found to be properly maintained. The chemists were sensitized regarding mandatory compliance requirements and were instructed to strictly adhere to the directions and guidelines recently issued under NCORD.
J&K Police remains committed to preventing the misuse of prescription drugs and ensuring lawful medical practices in the district.
