November 01: In a significant achievement towards ensuring justice and upholding the rule of law, J&K Police has successfully secured conviction in a brutal murder case. The accused, Abdul Majeed Khan son of Abdul Ahad Khan resident of Gounchi Mohalla, Akhal Kangan, involved in FIR No. 50/2020 U/S 302, 201 IPC of Police Station Kangan, has been sentenced to Life Imprisonment by the Hon’ble Sessions Court Ganderbal.
The case pertains to the heinous crime wherein the accused was found guilty of murdering his wife. Through meticulous investigation, collection of strong evidence, and diligent follow-up during trial, J&K Police ensured that justice was delivered to the victim and her family.
