Anantnag, June 6: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across several areas of Anantnag district to facilitate maintenance and infrastructure improvement works on multiple 11 KV feeders.
According to notifications issued by the Superintending Engineer, Operation and Maintenance Circle Bijbehara, the shutdowns have been approved to carry out conductor stringing, DTR charging and punch point rectification works under various projects.
Areas receiving power from the Marhama Receiving Station through the Halmulla feeder will witness power interruption on June 9 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Consumers fed by the Marhama and Balyar feeders will face a shutdown on June 10 during the same hours.
Power supply from the Akhura Receiving Station through the Naril and Akhura feeders will remain affected on June 11 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, while areas under the Nanil feeder will experience shutdowns on June 15 and June 16 between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. The Waghama feeder will remain affected on June 13 during the same period.
In a separate schedule, power supply from the Ashajipora Receiving Station through the Dialgam Old and Ashajipora (Bon Dialgam Tap Line) feeder will remain suspended on June 8 and June 10 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Similarly, areas fed by the Voi Bemdora feeder from the Shankerpora Receiving Station will witness power interruptions on June 9 and June 11 between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.
KPDCL has advised consumers to plan accordingly and said the shutdowns are necessary for upgrading and improving the power distribution network. [KNT]
