Man Found Dead in Orchard in South Kashmir

Shopian, May 03: A 58-year-old man was found dead on Sunday after allegedly hanging himself from an apple tree in his orchard in the Urpora Nagbal area of Shopian.

The deceased has been identified as Ab Rashid Dar, son of Ab Ganie Dar, who was a shopkeeper by profession.

Reports said that locals spotted the body hanging from a tree in the orchard and immediately informed the police. A police team reached the spot and took the body into custody.

Police have initiated proceedings in the matter to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident.(KNC)
