Srinagar, July 30: A 40-year-old man was found dead at his residence in the Rawathpora Baghat area of Srinagar on Thursday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man was found with injuries reportedly caused by a sharp-edged object inside his house.
He said police rushed to the spot soon after the incident and took the body into custody.
The deceased was identified as Ajaz Ahmad Wani (40), son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani, a resident of Rawathpora Baghat.
Meanwhile, police have initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death.
